
Here is a pic of my dinner for tonight. So all I did was slice carrots and a cuke real thin and laid them on the mushrooms. Then in a bowl I added some orange cherry toms, broccoli and a little bit of red onion. I mashed them a bit with my hand held blender and added that on top of cukes and carrots. Then I poured lime juice over it. The lime juice really added great flavor. I really like this dish alot! The lime juice acts like salt in that it amplifies the flavors of the veggies.
Today was my first run in the rain (downpour) in a long time. I had to get out the rain gear and gloves.....sigh.
today's menu
breakfast - orange juice
10 mile run 1200 vertical, chests and calf workout
lunch - bananas
dinner -orange juice, nectarines and stuffed mushrooms.
I think I calculated my calories and I got 3500 calories today. And in case any new readers are reading I am 5'7", 115lbs.
So I am not gonna lie......I am just not enjoying bananas anymore. I am really getting spoiled on the sweet juicy fruits. Winter time bananas are a staple but now that I have a wholesaler I can get really great juicy fruit even through the winter. Last winter I did not have much bananas. My lunches were made up of kiwis, which have pretty much replaced bananas. Kiwis are coming in so I will order lots. They are so high in calcium. If I can remember 15 kiwis equal the same amount of calcuim as 8oz of cow milk.....minus the puss....ewwwww.
Maybe it is a phase I am going through. We will see. But I really haven't had that much bananas this year. Maybe I should look into getting those little red bananas. That might be a nice change. Though I do love plantains!
