Finally got our valencias in. Oh I haven't had oj in awhile. Those other oranges we got, I just couldn't eat them. They had the strangest taste. So for the next few weeks it will be kiwis, bananas, oranges, and apples. Our fuji we got last time were bad, but this time are super. So are the pinkladys.

And I got a case of kale. I am going to drink lots of green drinks in the next few weeks. I really like juicing my greens. I can juice two heads of kale, carrots and add oj and have a great drink. I highly recommend green drinks when you are sore from a workout. The lactic acid accumulates in your body and the best way to neutralze the acid is with a base, like fruit and greens, espeically greens. This is why me and others who follow this diet can recover faster. (Of course you don't have to juice them, eating them works just as well).

I remember years ago, I was training for my first marathon. I would run 18 miles and would be so sore for days afterwards. I would then proceed to eat meat, dairy, and grains to help aid in my recovery and get my protein in. Ya well it never worked. All that is so acidic to the body. And add that to the lactic acid already in you body from a tough workout, it spells disaster. It can lower your immune system, create injuries etc.

I ate the SAD diet and trained hard, and I am now eating a fruitarian diet with greens and training waaaay harder.

today's menu
breakfast - 40 oz of oj and kiwis
9 mile run 1200'vertcial
fuel (raw latte)
lunch - 1300 calories banana date smoothie
dinner - kale juice, tomato soup, satuma oranges

Raw latte? What's that? That is my new name for coconut water and dates. I would highly recommend this mixture if you are trying to give up coffee. So here is what you do. Take the liquid out of one young coconut (meat optional) into blender along with 10 dates. Blend until frothy. There is no pulsing on this drink. Let this one blend for awhile. Add it to your latte cup and there you go. This is so sinfully good! And when you get down to the bottom of your cup, you get sweet white froth. I have been having these daily. Oh and it will wake your ass up too! Well maybe your brain. The raw latte will not leave your teeth stained brown, it will not give you coffee breath (ewwww) and it will not mess up your adrenals. AND it doesn't contain any toxins. So drink up!
