Geez, what a week! We had lost power for 4 days due to a snow storm and ice storm. Waaayy to dangerous to run. The trees were falling like toothpicks. So I took 5 days off of running. Not by choice. But it is what it is. I have no idea what my running hill is like. I am sure there are huge trees down. I might head up there in a day or two. But the weather is clearing so I will stick to roads for a few days.

We got lots of oranges in our fruit order. Hamilins and valencias are just fab right now. Been mostly drinking oj. Got lots of kiwis too.

I have been on a green drink kick lately, and the rest of the family too. Been increasing my calories because my running mileage as gone up so I find it easier to drink my greens. That leaves me more room for fruit. Plus, I don't know about you guys, but I find salads are way more tastier in late spring and summer. The produce just seems better I guess.

I bought a case of rainbow chard (so pretty), case of spinach and 1/2 case of cilantro. Each case has 24 heads. And since my garage is cold in the winter we store greens, oranges and apples in there and it keeps great. We just leave them in their boxes. The thicker greens works best, like kale, chard and spinach for storage like that. I have found that green leaf and romaine need to be stored in a frig for best freshness.

Today's menu
breafast - green drink (1/2 head of chard, head of spinach, head of cilantro, carrots, two apples and 32oz of oj)

a 15 mile run today turned into a 3 mile run due to unexpected high winds

lunch - orange juice and raw tacos

dinner - more orange juice and kiwis

Back to decent weather so hoping to get 70 miles in this week.
Oh that reminds me, need to get more bananas.
